Science Sampler: Microscopes
Did you know that a drop of water can be used as a magnifying lens? We examined the dots that make up printed pictures, fabrics, the engravings on a one dollar bill, insects, and our own skin and hair using hand lenses, pocket microscopes, a digital microscope, and wooden microscopes which incorporate smart phones, obtained as an ABC25 grant.

We also tried to match 30 images obtained from a scanning electron microscope to the object they represented.
